Our services are always tailored to meet the specific needs of the employee. It is crucial that the career coach also helps organize the overall situation, which often involves a great deal of uncertainty during a transition. With a coach’s help, it becomes easier to articulate the situation and strengthen one’s professional identity. As the mind clears, decision-making also becomes easier.
Many people underestimate their own expertise. Therefore, it is vital to identify your skills and strengths together with a professional. This makes it easier to see alternative career paths and recognize transferable skills. Often, there are more options than one initially thought.
A career coach’s core work is to help reflect on a goal-oriented yet realistic direction, which reduces stress. Practical support is also essential, such as updating your CV and LinkedIn profile, sparring on job applications, interview coaching, and creating a networking strategy. In change security, the most important factor is often the sense of control. This is built together with a career coach who sets milestones and tracks your progress.
Change security legislation (muutosturva) obligates a company to provide change security coaching when the company employs at least 30 people, the redundancies are based on financial or production-related reasons, and the employee has been in a continuous employment relationship for over 5 years.
According to the law, the employer must provide the redundant employees with coaching that promotes re-employment. The value of this coaching must correspond to the employee’s one-month salary.
As of the beginning of 2023, change security for those aged 55 and over also includes a change security allowance and additional training. Beyond fulfilling legal requirements, a well-planned change security process is, above all, an act of corporate responsibility!
